what's in my cart? vol. 3
a faux fur jacket! another pair of jeans (shocker)! a Jacquemus bag! a (probably overpriced) gold charm necklace! here's everything I want but probably don't need this month.
Hello again!
Welcome to another session of me talking you through things I probably don’t need but very much want. Oh, woe is me!
Before we get into it, pretty please do me a huge favor and subscribe if you haven’t already! I promise I don’t spam and will actually give you great life advice (at least when it comes to shopping and styling).
I previously mentioned I’m trying to shop less, and so far, I’ve actually done pretty well considering I’ve been away on holiday in the States for over a month thus survived countless sales both online and IRL. Yes, I’m still guilty of making some purchases here and there but I will say I did invest in some really great elevated and timeless staples (hello, Jenni Kayne!).
Shockingly, this time around I actually have my eye on a few winter items, like a faux fur jacket (because apparently us girlies are now entering our “mob wife era,” according to TikTok), an espresso colored cardigan inspired by style queen Danielle Copperman, and a pair of kitten heel booties (you can never own too many!).
Let’s get to it. Scroll down to see some of my picks this week! 💋
Still Here Cool Jean in Milk ($260)
You all know how I feel about these jeans. I really do want them in every color. It is really hard to find white jeans that flatter your body so I feel like I might just bite the bullet on these. 😬
DVF Leslie Cardigan ($223)
I saw Danielle Copperman wear this once so naturally I also had to purchase it. She styled it with dark brown silk trousers and I’ve been on the hunt for something similar (or maybe a midi skirt would do as well). But this cardigan would probably look great with virtually any bottoms, or even a dress.
Guest in Residence Shrunken Polo Top ($245)
I’ve been curious about Gigi Hadid’s cashmere knitwear brand for a while now but I’m a little wary because I *hate* when knits are itchy. But I think this polo seems manageable.
Martha Calvo Sanctus Necklace ($250)
I saw a random girl wear this necklace on TikTok once and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Now I just have this necklace constantly open in a tab on my web browser deciding whether or not it’s worth spending $250… It is very cute.
Cos Pointed Kitten-Heel Leather Boots ($285)
I absolutely LOVE Cos. It’s a great and affordable brand that offers a wide selection of elevated basics. I’ve been a fan of a kitten heel boot since I splurged on the Khaite Davis boots last year, but I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money again on an ankle boot I may potentially destroy (I’m careless, what can I say). I feel like this is the perfect pair of boots for all-year round.
Helsa Plaid S Curve Jacket ($428)
Elsa Hosk’s Helsa brand has been absolutely killing it since she dropped her first collection during NYFW in September 2022. (I covered it for WWD here. Shameless plug.) Since then, every drop she’s released has been better than the last. I am such a sucker for a good blazer, and this one is structured, chic and elevated.
Jacquemus Le Bisou Perle Bag ($678)
If you’ve been following me for a while now, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of Jacquemus, both his clothes and accessories. (He’ll probably release a beauty line, or maybe even gardening tools, and I’ll purchase it all.) Plus, I’ve been loving the espresso color (as you know, brown has been all the craze within beauty and fashion within the last two years), and I thought this was the perfect shoulder bag to add to my collection.
The Frankie Shop Pam Faux Fur Bomber Jacket ($223)
Apparently the “mob wife” look is in right now, so think Carmela Soprano from “The Sopranos” or Samantha Jones from “Sex and the City.” I’m all for this, but I don’t know if I can pull off the long fur coat, so I opted for a bomber jacket because I know that style usually flatters my body better.
Victoria Beckham ‘My Dad Had A Rolls-Royce’ Slogan T-Shirt ($150)
Alright, if you’ve watched the David Beckham documentary on Netflix, then you’ll understand why this is so iconic and hilarious. (If you haven’t seen it, PLEASE watch it. It’s one of the better sports documentaries I’ve seen; the best is still “The Last Dance” though.)
My dad doesn’t have a Rolls-Royce, but the fact that Victoria Beckham decided to capitalize on this concept is still genius.
The Row Ginza Thong Sandals ($925)
The Row is literally all over my social media feeds at the moment… Whether it’s their simple yet sleek (and overpriced) clothes, high-quality bags or just their overall elevated, “quiet luxury” aesthetic.
Anyway, I’ve had my eye on these flip flops for a while now, but I really don’t know if I have it in me to spend nearly a grand on FLIP FLOPS. But they are trop mignon, non?
