it's a Reformation kind of summer
sandals! feminine tops! actual sundresses! linen (rather questionable but usually a must-have for summer)! the sustainable brand brings their A-game for the warmer days ahead.
Hello, hi, yes — ‘tis I.
I am back by popular demand.
I know I mentioned that I’d be back writing a full rundown of my trip to Europe but… Yeah, that takes a while. So for now we shall have to make do with a seasonal post, which I think most of you will appreciate because who doesn’t love summer?!
Before we dive in, a *gentle* reminder to subscribe if you don’t already. I promise I don’t spam (clearly) and I give really great unsolicited advice.
FINALLY, it is hot girl summer again. Actually, it is always hot girl vibes all-year round, but it is especially more pronounced during warm weather. Don’t fight me, I will die on this hill.
I popped into the Reformation store in Beverly Hills while I was in Los Angeles a month ago and I was pleasantly surprised that I wanted to try on the whole store. Don’t get me wrong, Ref *usually* kills it, but its continuously increasing prices tend to turn me off time and again, and sometimes I don’t have a strong inclination to purchase things I don’t necessarily need (ironic, I know).
Seasonal trend report for summer 2024 is lots of sandals, ballet flats, skirts (mostly mini and midi), loose-fitting pants and 90s-inspired capris, a mix of basic and trendy tops, and cute sundresses (whether they are neutral-colored or a fun pattern). Shorts are in, too! But mostly high- or mid-rise linen and cute, teeny shorts, if you can pull those off.
Blue denim for summer can work but I think for a more elevated and effortless look, we love a slouchy, baggy kind of situation — think baggy, low-rise jeans with a simple cropped T-shirt and a cardigan (or even an oversized button down, like striped or plain white) thrown over your shoulder paired with red ballet flats, flip flops or even sneakers, and a simple handbag with cat-eye sunglasses and gold hoops… OOHHH!
I will pull an example from the Ref website to stay concise.

During my visit to Ref, I mostly picked up tops — your girl has way too many dresses. I bought the Alani Top, the Sadie Knit Top, the Balia Linen Top and the Jessie Thong Sandal (see below).

Ref keeps dropping new, cute things every week and it’s definitely making me wish I was somewhere in Tuscany or the South of France sipping on a Hugo spritz in a cute gingham mini dress, gladiator sandals and a little wicker bag.
I have picked a wide array of cute Reformation things on my ShopMy page, but I’ll highlight a few below for viewing pleasure.

Feel free to browse the rest of my picks here.
That’s all. Ta ta for now! xx
